The key to recycling properly is just caring enough to do it. There are things we put a little extra time into because they matter to us: picking up litter, making our beds, or wearing matching underwear. Some things people don’t notice, but we do because they matter to us. It’s these little things that show a lot about a person

SFX: Phone line ringing
WOMAN: Just checking in. You’re looking kinda grim these days and… (QUICK) I had this uncle Victor who looked just like you before he went (MOUTH CLICK NOISE) off the rails. It was little things, like not getting his suit pressed anymore; stopped sorting his paper and plastics, just threw it all in the trash. (SHORT PAUSE, SHORT BREATH OUT) But more than that.. He stopped taking the scenic route to things, and… (SIGH) Just (SHORT PAUSE) don’t stop caring like he did. (PAUSE) Please call me back when you get this.
