There are at least 90 active water advisories at all times in Canada but people don’t know how severe the issue really is.
Idea
Illustrate the prevalence of water scarcity in Canada and the lengths people have to go (literally) to access it
In-App Activation
In-app activation uses Google Maps to give real-time comparisons on how many kilometres First Nations have to walk to access water.
The update also features a contribute tab that directs users to the Water First charity’s landing page as well as water droplets that lead users to the experiential.

Push notifications pop-up during the trip to contextualize the distance that First Nations have to walk to access water
