Keeping Women Safe with Lyft

I created a spec function on Lyft which allows women to request rides exclusively from female-drivers.

Women do not feel safe travelling alone, but opt to rideshare because the threat of danger is lower than walking to their destination. However, big players like Lyft and Uber report* thousands of sexual assault incidents every year and have no preventative safety measures to keep riders safe.

I wrote the app copy and made changes to the user interface to introduce the rationale behind and guide users to the new feature.
